Been awhile since our last visit but happy to know everything is fine both service and food was great, we look forward to coming back, note appetizer pictures did not show the full amount, we both had started eating, plenty to share before our meals came out and it was tasty
I wasn’t able to get pictures of everything but it was all delicious and the drinks were oh so good. The prices are pretty steep for the food but it was delicious so I’d say worth it for a date night or a treat. Our waitress was absolutely great!
Always a great experience stopping on our way south in Maine... Great prices, quality is spot on as well as the portions. The staff frankly just compliments the venue as a great choice to dine. They are always attentive, engaging, and genuinely nice folks. Highly recommend if you are in the area, or for us a 2.5 hour drive south just to indulge! Keep up the great performance.
I’ve been here a bunch and always have a great experience. The lobster roll and fried clams are two of my favorites, and they’re consistently so good! Shoutout to Allie, who took great care of us tonight, hard to believe it was only her second day! Friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner at Weathervane Restaurant. My sister and I met halfway with our mom, and even though it was a very busy holiday, Tori, our server, made the experience exceptional. Tori had an incredible personality, warm, positive, and attentive in a way that never interrupted our family time but always made us feel taken care of. She offered great recommendations, provided outstanding service, and brought such a bright, welcoming energy to our table that truly elevated the entire meal. We already expected great seafood, but her service made the evening especially memorable
My mother and I came here yesterday for Mothers Day. We started with the seafood chowder that was LOADED with lots of delicious haddock! I got a lobster roll, which was AMAZING! The hot dog roll was perfectly buttered and crispy and it was STUFFED with sooo much lobster meat, including a huge claw! My mother got the fish and chips that was perfectly cooked and had the most satisfying crisp to the batter! Also, the staff was super friendly! Thank you for taking such great care of us on our special day together! =D
Hey, what a great place, we had the seafood combo for the kids, which they loved. We also had the lazy man lobster, after our visit to Maine I was tired of picking lobsters, so they had all the meat in a dish covered with butter. Truly amazing. A great spot, Our server walter was awesome as well as his assistant, definitely will return.
We’ve gone to The Weathervane for years when we visit Maine. Always a great meal and a pleasant experience. This year, on a visit with one of our adult children, they mentioned to the server they had a gluten allergy and ordered a gluten free meal. The server took this information seriously and when the meal was served, it was by the chef who prepared it, wearing gloves. Lots of places are offering gluten free meals, but so far this was the most carefully prepared and served meal we’ve seen. Thank you so much!
I love this place! The service was so fast and the food was delicious. Also the vibe is really nice and it feels like a nostalgic New England seafood restaurant from my childhood. The music and the booths really add to the experience. Definitely coming back!
Really enjoy this place. As a kid my mom used to take day trips up from Connecticut to go long sands beach for the day and then hit up the weathervane for dinner before we go home. It's always great! And the staff is friendly. My last visit I got the large portion of fish and chip and it was excellent! And my girlfriend got a bowl of clam chowder, which she said was really good. And we also enjoyed the calamari appetizer. I definitely will be returning!
